We all get excited when we see "You have a new message" in our email inbox. Finally, someone has noticed us and wants to get to know us better! It's an uplifting moment for any online dater, but if you are a Gmail user, you could be missing those notifications along with others.
Have you ever noticed those 2 tabs labeled "promotions" and "social" in your Gmail inbox? They are a semi-recent update to the popular email server's user interface, and they help us to automatically organize our incoming email. This service can be a convenient help, but it can also cause us to miss some important mail.
The video below shows you how to make sure that you are always receiving your notifications from CatholicMatch in your primary inbox so that you never miss a new message. This same process works for messages that find their way into the spam folder.
How To Never Miss A Message
- Go into your Gmail inbox and locate any CatholicMatch emails in your social or promotions tab.
- Click on the CatholicMatch email and drag it to the Primary tab.
- Click "Yes" in the yellow box at the top of the screen that asks if you would like for Gmail to do this for future CatholicMatch emails.
- You're done!
***Note: If you receive the weekly singles newsletter from the CatholicMatch Institute, this comes from a different email address than the CatholicMatch notifications. You will want to move both emails from CatholicMatch and emails from Cecilia from the CatholicMatch Institute into your primary tab so that you don't miss out in the future!
