What did you like? What did you disagree with? Are there some new ideas you want to try? The nice thing about the speed dating in RELATE is how it takes place after the speakers. Instant conversation fodder!
3. Be positive!
Nobody wants to be the Debbie Downer on the speed dating screen. So put on a smile, give yourself a pep talk, and show up with some enthusiasm. You never know who you’ll meet! Put your best foot forward with positivity and excitement.
4. Sit in a quiet, well-lit space.
You probably don’t want other people peeking over your shoulder while you’re trying to talk to potential new dates! Choose somewhere without a crowd, like your living room, your home office, or even your parked car (if you have a bunch of roommates, you know what I mean!). Make sure there’s decent lighting so your speed dates can see your face clearly!
5. Follow up with anyone who struck your interest.
Speed dating is all about breaking the initial ice and getting introduced. After that, it’s up to you! So, be sure to follow up with anyone you enjoyed talking to.
