We understand everyone in our CatholicMatch community has been affected by the virus outbreak.
Many of you are spending much more time at home, others may not be able to work.
The entire team at CatholicMatch (Jason, Brian, Nathan, Marian, Chris, Lousie, Sandy, Abbey, Briana, Leah, Stephanie, Kateri, Cecilia, and Austin) want to help you in any way we can. We want singles to continue being open to meeting their spouse even under these less than ideal circumstances.
As a result, we are now permitting EVERYONE regardless of subscription status to reply to any unlocked messages! Locked messages will need to be unlocked still.
As a reminder, sending or requesting contact information before establishing a relationship with someone is a violation of our terms of use and places members at risk. We prohibit this because “scammers” use this tactic to obtain your private contact information. PLEASE, help protect our community by reporting any member that sends you this type of message.
How to report a violating/scammer message:
- Click on the message
- Click on the three-dot menu option in the upper right-hand corner of the message
- Select “Report”
- Choose a reason for reporting the message
WE DO NOT notify members that they were reported or who reported them.
If you are a PREMIUM member you will still have all the same benefits you had before including the ability to initiate a conversation with other members. In order for this pilot program to go well, we encourage you to use common sense when sending messages to other members. Please be thoughtful about who you choose and what you say. The copying and pasting of messages to a large number of members will not be tolerated and you risk being viewed negatively by the very person you are trying to attract.
After 30 days we will evaluate how this is working for our community and decide if we will extend the time period. Remember, God continues to allow good things to happen including meeting your future spouse, so, stay optimistic, stay focused and have faith!
