"You know he likes you, right?"

My good friend comments on my friend Walter (name changed to save myself from ... embarrassment). "Who Walter? No, we've known each other for years. He is just really friendly."

But then I started thinking ... could there be something more? Would I want there to be something more? Crossing the threshold into the possibility of dating would be the point of no return. It would wreck our friendship and it would never be the same. It is definitely safer to just let it be, but how will I ever know?

Certainly I want the person who I date to be a good friend. It only makes sense. And romance should be built on the foundation of true friendships. That is why I found Gerard-Marie Anthony's recent interview on the Son Rise Morning Show so helpful.

Gerard-Marie talks about how to recognize the difference between true and false relationships and how to cultivate friendships that will lead you to find a spouse. He talks about how we are made for love. Marriage should lead us to holiness and our ultimate goal of heaven.

Is it safer to remain friends or would you speak up to find out if your friendship is something more? Leave me a comment below.
