Sonia and I are really thankful first to our Lord for crossing our
paths, and then to Catholic Match for making it possible. It would have
been impossible for us to have met given the distance between us. We
first met on December 19, 2004, and right from that very first
encounter I knew she was a very special lady and I wanted to know her
better.
Now I just had to convince her! On Christmas Day I sent
her a card; little did I know that these little details would win her
over. She invited me to join her on instant messenger, and from that
day on we chatted daily for hours, then phone calls followed. We
finally met the weekend of February 25th, in her city (in Mexico).
It
was the best time I've had in a long time. It was as if we were being
reunited, and not our first time together. I knew then that I'd found
my soulmate.
Now I had to convince her. I gave her a promise
ring, and we both promised to be faithful and let our Lord guide us,
let His will be done. We both trust His will--it's what's best for us,
and we wait for that day when we can be together. We both look forward
to our future, when we can be together for the rest of our lives.
