Dan and I (Colleen) were married on May 15, 2004, one year to the day after we first
encountered each other on Catholic Match. We committed our lives to each other in an
absolutely beautiful, traditional Catholic Mass in my hometown of Chicago
surrounded by almost 200 of our family and friends. It turned out to be a
gorgeous day, slightly cool (God's special blessing for Dan and my mom!) with
the sun shining.
Everything went perfectly the entire day, and many people
remarked that it was the best wedding they had ever attended! People danced for
hours and everyone had a blast. Dan managed to keep our honeymoon destination a
secret; I didn't find out that he was taking me to Colorado until we were
boarding the plane. We spent the week outdoors hiking, biking, whitewater
rafting, and driving through the mountains.
We are so grateful to the Lord for
his many blessings and for using St. Raphael to bring us together. We love
seeing the reaction we get when we tell people where we met! We fall more in
love every day and realize over and over how perfect we are for each other. We
love married life and we're having so much fun together.
