New Beginnings On CatholicMatch

Jim & Laura

Thank you for the opportunity to meet the love of my life Laura. We met last March on a blind date in Raleigh, N.C., and I knew she was very special from the moment we met.

I had just gotten over a bad relationship and had rejoined CM just for the opportunity to meet Laura, and I'm glad I trusted my instincts. We hit it off right away, and in addition to the attracton, we had very similar educational and family backgrounds, and the perfect blend of personality intangibles that allow Laura to also be my best friend in addition to my wife.

We both have had encounters on this website with others before finding each other, which made our appreciation for one another that much better. It just goes to show you that good things can happen if you are persistent, believe in yourself, and give someone a chance. It ended up being the best decision of my life.

Vanessa & Todd

I noticed that a guy who lived in a nearby town had viewed my profile. I had only been on this site two weeks with a free membership. I read Todd's profile and was hoping that he would write to me. Todd wrote to me and I decided to pay so that I could read his message. Todd emailed me asking if I attend Blessed Sacrament Church because he thought he had seen me there. I responded, "That's me." He was the Eucharistic minister in my church and knew who I was; however, I had no idea who he was. I had photos in my profile but he had no photo. He was the only person I responded to because I liked his profile. After two weeks of emailing, I gave Todd my phone number. He immediately called and we met that day. Our love for each other grows each day. Previously, I had been discouraged and determined to stay single to preserve my values. Now, I am thankful to God for meeting someone who shares my religious and moral values.

David & Meryl

Both of us were looking for someone to share what we both believed in. Twenty months of e-mail grew into friendshipand then to a serious relationship. We realized that there was an extreme higher power that was guiding us closer together. THANK GOD.

Jethro & Lizanie

I met Lizanie through CatholicMatch. We connected and began talking for a year now,and we have been talking every day between the U.S. and Cebu in the Philippines. We feel that we will be married soon, but must work through the red tape of US customs. I will be traveling to Cebu to see her in August. Then she will be coming here in December. After that we hope to get her a fiance Visa for the U.S. very soon.

Daniel & Mirna

I am trying a very long distance relationship with Mirna. She is in Mexico. We video chat and type chat. We are taking it slow and getting to know each other. We seemed to have hit it off on May 31 Memorial Day. She didn't have my picture but, she liked my profile. We exchanged e-mails and I eventually sent her a picture. And she actually liked it. Basically we are both praying and we will see where God leads us. I don't know if this a success story because it is not finished. But, it is a success in that we at least met.

Carla & Jason

Carla and I talked on CatholicMatch for about three months. She lives three hours from me. We were chatting one evening and she said she wanted pancakes. Crazy as it sounds, I drove three hours to take her to IHOP. I was crazy about her from the first time I saw her. We see each other every chance we get. I drive there or she drives to me. Fortunately, she is a senior account rep for a medical provider and can work from anywhere. This makes long distance easier and often she will spend a week with me. We are crazy about each other and will probably get married. Not rushing into it though. We have only been seeing each other for about two months. Since we have been together, I have been able to go to her numerous times. Recently, I went to her graduation. She completed her Masters in Dispute Resolution.

Matthew & April

CatholicMatch was the tool which the Lord used to bring together a union of two souls whom He meant for one another. No other means would have brought us together to produce such an outcome: Most obviously because April, who was received into the Church at Easter, hails from Oregon, which is quite a walk from Chicago; but in many other ways as well, such as encouraging a courtship vis-a-vis a splendiferous correspondence that made us know one and, in turn, love one another before actually meeting. We would be happy to share more as time goes on and the details for our wedding are worked out.

John & Andrea

John and I started talking at the end of May. We met for the first time on June 24th for dinner. We are currently in a long distance relationship and everything is going very well. We see each other at least one weekend a month. We thank God for bringing us together. We both were about to give up on finding someone, but now look to the future together with hope and love. We know that we will always have each other when times get tough.

Christine & Volkmar

We met on CatholicMatch in Summer 2006. He was in Hawaii finishing an MBA and I was in California. I got transferred to Minnesota and he visited me there. Then I spent three months with him and his family in 2007. It went great. We visited back and forth for as much vacation as we could get. He is a German citizen, and I am American. So we then applied for the visa and received it in April of this year. He came over right away for good to California and we got married in the County Courthouse to get his papers started. Now we are starting the Catholic Marriage Prep classes and plan to be married in Napa Valley in the springtime.

Keep looking! It was the first marriage for both of us and we found the right person...finally!
