You know the little yellow smiley graphics that wave, pray and hug?
Well, they are part of my job. My name is Bob. I have enjoyed my employment at CatholicMatch for 4 years so far. I do all of the graphic design for our advertising and web pages. So anytime you get a fancy email from us, I probably had a hand in that.
Although it is a lot of fun making neat little graphics and fancy ads, that's not the only thing I do as a graphic designer. A lot of the work I do actually happens before your very eyes and you don't know you are seeing it. It's transparent – and that is a good thing. What I am referring to is the experience of the people who use our site. A lot of thought and time goes into the look, feel and organization of our content.
A simple use of color and graphics can lead someone through their experience on CatholicMatch in an efficient manner. This makes it easy for people to find someone they are interested in and able to send that all important first contact – an emotigram.
