Count Your Blessings

Every year at this time, I reflect on the past year and think about the many blessings in my life. It reminds me of the popular song, "Count Your Blessings" written by Irving Berlin for the 1954 movie White Christmas.

If you're worried and you can't sleep

Just count your blessings instead of sheep

And you'll fall asleep

Counting your blessings

This year, CatholicMatch has many blessings to count. We celebrated our 14th anniversary and reached one million registered members. A million people have decided to create an account on our site and trust us enough to give CatholicMatch a try. Its an exciting milestone and a humbling one.

But that's what we do. We try our best to help single Catholics be in a better position to find their spouses in order to create families. And we feel very blessed to be a part of it all.

At this year's CatholicMatch company Christmas party our families got together for some good food and for the kids (but really for Mike, Jason and I), we had bowling and laser tag!

The CatholicMatch team is made up of moms and dads, husbands and wives, Catholics and non-Catholics who are so thankful for the blessing of the huge community of people who give us the opportunity to provide for our families and do a job that helps people build happy and holy marriages.

So from the CatholicMatch family we wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. Please know that we are praying for you and please pray for us.

And this Christmas I count you in my blessings and rejoice for the One whom Isaiah called “Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero, Father-Forever, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
