We met in September 2003 and have been talking
ever since. After many conversations over the phone, we decided to meet each
other for the first time.
I (Lydia) flew to Miami to visit Harold in February 2004, and it
was love at first sight. Harold was all I expected and more. His family
was extremely nice, and supported our long distance relationship, as did
mine. Harold came to visit in July 2004 and surprised me with a promise ring.
Our relationship was growing in every way. We would pray the rosary together
over the phone, and study the Bible and biographies of inspirational saints. It
was refreshing to meet someone who was respectful, caring, loving and spiritual,
who's faith would inspire me every step of the way.
Harold proposed marriage on December 20th,
2004, and it was the most beautiful moment of my life. Our families are
so happy that we found each other.
I'm thankful for having met Harold
on Catholic Match, and will continue to speak to others who are wanting
to find their spiritual soulmates. We are planning to have an October
2005 wedding. We continue to pray and go to confession on a regular basis, and his role
as the spiritual leader has been the most blessed gift God can ever give me.
The power of prayer is amazing and the wonders and gifts that God
has for us are more than we can ever imagine. My message to all of you
who have signed up on Catholic Match, "Always keep your eyes focused on
Jesus and He will bless you with what your heart desires."
