He Met His Wife After One Day on CatholicMatch!

Both Jenny and Bruce had tried online dating through secular websites but found little success in the modern dating pool. In an attempt to meet somebody who shared their same faith, they each signed up for CatholicMatch.
It didn't take him long at all!
On February 23, 2020, the same day that he signed up for the site, Bruce sent his first message to Jenny. They instantly hit it off talking about faith foundation and their favorite books. Bruce described Jenny as being “a breath of fresh air” and immediately asked her out to dinner. And, she agreed to the date right away!
They sat down and he grabbed her hand and asked her to pray before the food came. Jenny said she had never had anybody do that before on a date and that won her over instantly. They then spent the whole evening chatting.
Bruce said that he felt an instant trust with Jenny when he met her through CatholicMatch. “I think that CatholicMatch afforded that trust to me, which was such a welcome relief.”
They had their second date less than a week after their first.
For their second date, they met up for Ash Wednesday Mass at Jenny’s local parish. They prayed the rosary together and, when Bruce put his arm around Jenny on the back of the pew, she slid in like a missing puzzle piece. “You fit pretty well there,” she recalled Bruce saying to her, and she replied, “I sure do.”
Shortly after meeting each other, they knew it was going to get serious quickly. Both had been previously married and had gone through the annulment process at around the same time. They both described the process of going through an annulment as challenging, but also worth it.
Before they knew it, they were getting engaged!
By August of 2021, they announced their engagement to family and friends, who were thrilled to hear the news.
Both Bruce and Jenny felt that they did not want to wait any longer to live life as a married couple, so they did not delay marriage after their engagement.
On October 8th of 2021, they were married at St. Joseph’s Church. Jenny said that their pastor was sure that they would not be able to pull off planning a wedding in such a short time, but they did it! They had the reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall across the street from the church and it was catered by their favorite Mexican restaurant. The church filmed their wedding ceremony for them, which Bruce described as "a beautiful representation" of their relationship and their faith.
Interestingly enough, both Bruce and Jenny shared that they felt that they knew that they were going to get married after their second date. Both of them kept this private until after they were married and they were excited to learn that they had both felt the same way so early-on.
Now, they're in the midst of married life!
“We always start our day, every morning, with the Rosary at 6 AM at St. Joseph’s, with all the retired people.” They share a real devotion to Mary and the Rosary, and all the benefits that come from that. They also share a strong devotion to St. Joseph. They enjoy bike riding and walking together, as well as watching movies and cooking together. Wherever the other one is, the other likes to be. Bruce said, “I love having a wife who wants to do everything together. When I walk into the room she always looks at me and smiles.”
Both are very grateful for CatholicMatch bringing them together. Jenny said that when she started online dating, she was sure that she would need to compromise on something she wanted in a man. She got everything she wanted and more in Bruce.
