Dating During Coronavirus

All of us have a lot to think about as we work to fight the spread of this virus and get back to normal.

For many single people, dating may not be top of mind, especially if you’re concerned about your job or caring for others. However, we need to stay open to God’s will and remember that we never know when He might introduce us to someone. 

CatholicMatch’s core mission is to help single Catholics meet other singles they otherwise wouldn’t. Secondly, we are a community for single Catholics to share their faith, struggles, and joys. Both of these missions are important as we face new challenges.

We want to help you navigate this difficult season by encouraging you to find comfort in our community and reminding you to stay open about meeting a potential spouse.

If you find yourself with spare time, we encourage each of you to use it to dive deeper into the CatholicMatch community. We hope you will consider taking part in a few of our suggested activities.

1. Update your profile! This is important, especially if you haven’t revised it in awhile. Don’t forget to include new photos of yourself smiling.
2. Write a message. Take a break from social media or the news, and reach out to members who interest you. Sharing a positive message can go a long way! 
3. Go on VIRTUAL dates! Online dating is one of the few things that isn’t canceled by this virus, so...make the most of it! We recommend using Zoom. It’s encrypted, free, and completely private. Be sure to check out our instructional video on how to set up a virtual date!
4. Explore the forums. There are plenty of topics being discussed that have nothing to do with the virus. Now is a great time to be with your fellow single Catholics!
5. Join us virtually! We’re working on some video events designed to bring our members together for prayer and community! Stay tuned!
6. Most importantly...pray! Ask God to guide you through this time. He has a plan for each of us and we must remain open to his call. Please, also pray for those who are struggling with the virus, healthcare workers, politicians, business and Church leaders, and the unemployed. 

Remember, “this too shall pass” and happier times are ahead!
