Thank you Catholic Match for providing an opportunity to meet my (Jeffrey) future wife!
I
joined Catholic Match (then, St Raphael.net) in September 2003. I met
Anne Marie online on the Feast of the Annunciation (March 25th, 2004).
Coincidentally, she had just joined Catholic Match that evening. She
had recently moved to Alexandria, VA and was working as an Army nurse
at Fort Belvoir Hospital, while I lived in Maryland, working as an
engineer for Northrop Grumman. Both of us entered our encounter with
open hearts and a sense of adventure, in meeting new friends to share
outdoor adventures with in the D.C. area.
Neither of us would
have been blessed in meeting each other, had we not put our faith in
God and decided to try Catholic Match. Since our initial encounter in
April 2004, our dating soon evolved into a faithful courtship that our
allowed us to grow in faith and love for each other. The Holy Spirit
has shown us the way through our year long courtship. I proposed to
Anne Marie in Old Town Alexandria, on the dockside overlooking the
Potomac River on April 25th, 2005. We are happy to announce our
engagement to everyone, and look forward to our November 12th, 2005
wedding.
We wish everyone success in discerning their true
lifetime vocation through the support Catholic Match offers. Both us
have shared our success story with family and friends. Even our pastor
is glad to see that technology has caught up with the Church's
teaching, in bringing two practicing Catholics together in the
sacrament of matrimony.
