She Joined CatholicMatch with a Membership Gifted to Her By a Priest!

Lindsey was a member of CatholicMatch for over 10 years before she and her now husband, Justin, connected.
Funnily enough, Lindsey originally joined CatholicMatch in 2012 after being given a membership as a gift from a priest at that year’s SEEK conference in Orlando, Florida.

Lindsey remembers passing by the priest one day who had a concerned look on his face, and when she asked him what was wrong, the priest explained that someone had given him a gift card to CatholicMatch!
Since the priest wasn’t exactly looking for a relationship, he gave the card to Lindsey instead!
But, even after all that time, she never gave up on finding her future husband and living her vocation to marriage.
Lindsey was initially attracted to Justin’s profile after seeing the care he expressed for his two dogs and his strong conservative values that Lindsey also shared.

Since they have been married, Lindsey explained that she most appreciates Justin’s big heart as “it is clear [he] has a Christ-like love.”
Similarly, Justin was also instantly attracted to Lindsey’s kindness, which he said is something that he’s thankful to experience every day since their marriage.
Then, it was time for a first date...
After communicating online through CatholicMatch for about two weeks, Justin and Lindsey’s first date took place in a coffee shop in Fargo, North Dakota where Lindsey was from.

Even though Justin was feeling a little excited and nervous prior to the date, the two immediately hit it off and ended up talking for a total of five and a half hours! From there, the two decided to set up a second date that included dinner and drinks. Lindsey was much more nervous for this date since she knew that she liked Justin and was taken aback by his chivalry he expressed through opening doors for her, which is something Lindsey still loves today.
After these two successful dates, Justin and Lindsey continued to meet up to hike, spend time with Jesus in adoration, and even go for motorcycle rides on his bike! On their very first ride, Lindsey remembered how Justin gave her his leather jacket in order to keep her safe as his passenger. After the date, Justin then ordered Lindsey her own helmet and jacket, and she still has them and uses them today.

On Father’s Day 2023, Justin proposed to Lindsey in his backyard.
He knew that he wanted to marry Lindsey because of the kindness that she had displayed throughout their relationship. He also knew that their relationship was ready for the next step...marriage!
Justin and Lindsey were married on December 21st of 2023.
While the two note that it was an adjustment to fully combine the lives that each of them had prior to marriage, Lindsey shared that the highlights of married life are found in the small things such as being able to see her best friend every single day.
