Catherine married her husband Tim in 2024. She had been a member of CatholicMatch for around two years before matching with Tim in 2022.

Looking for someone to share her marriage vocation, Catherine was drawn to Tim’s profile for his strongly Catholic, pro-life, and pro-family values. Throughout the course of their relationship, she grew to appreciate his loving heart as well as his introverted and affectionate nature.
When Tim first came across Catherine’s profile, he shared that he was “blown away by her personality, faith, accomplishments, talents, and achievements.” He was unsure if Catherine would be interested in someone who lived a “simple life in Oklahoma,” but little did he know, he was the Southern gentleman that Catherine had prayed for.

After three months of communicating over the phone, Tim flew from Oklahoma to Sacramento, California for his and Catherine’s first date. After picking Tim up from the airport, the two started their weekend visit by attending Mass together, followed by a nice lunch. Upon meeting Catherine for the first time, Tim remarked that she has “the most perfect hands.” He wasted no time holding her hand after leaving the airport and still loves showing affection for Catherine in this way.
As always, long-distance came with its fair share of challenges.
Tim and Catherine continued to visit each other on a monthly basis, alternating who would do the traveling each month. Tim explained that long-distance dating sometimes “felt a bit like living a dual life” since there was little change in his daily routine. Because of this, Catherine and Tim had to be very intentional with their time together, sending daily texts and scheduling weekly phone dates when they could not be with each other in person.
Long-distance also made it difficult for the two to gauge the how the other was feeling, leading to a brief breakup in 2023. However, Catherine and Tim happily reported that their relationship was even stronger upon getting back together.

He proposed in front of the Pieta in Catherine’s favorite side chapel!
In July 2023, Tim flew to California with the intention of proposing.
Previously, the two had visited a local jeweler to design an engagement ring, so Catherine knew that Tim was going to propose, but not how. After attending a Saturday morning Mass, Catherine and Tim spent some time praying in Catherine’s favorite side chapel that housed a life-sized replica of Michelangelo’s Pieta. Knowing that he wanted to propose in a place that was special to her, Tim presented the ring and the two celebrated with Catherine’s parents over champagne.
On July 21, 2023, Catherine and Tim were also the first couple to receive the Catholic Rite of Betrothal in Tim’s home parish in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The betrothal took place during a daily Mass on Friday morning, where the priest also blessed Catherine’s engagement ring.

On January 19, 2024, Tim and Catherine were married in Sacramento, California.
The wedding was intentionally very small, with both sets of parents, two priests, and a photographer in attendance. Following the Mass, Catherine, Tim, and their parents had a post-wedding dinner party in the same restaurant where they had lunch during Tim’s first visit to Sacramento.
Catherine gained 3 step children and 7 grandchildren!
Once married to Tim, Catherine became a stepmother to Tim’s three children from his previous marriage and a “Nonna” to seven grandchildren. Coming from a large Italian-Irish family, Catherine eagerly embraced her new extended family. Catherine also shared that she feels incredibly blessed by the kindness she received from Tim’s children and grandchildren from the first time she met them.

Tim shared that the highlight of married life for him is getting to see Catherine every day after years of long-distance dating.
Prior to meeting Catherine, Tim had been a single father and is now enjoying having something to share the mundane duties of life with, such as cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the house.
Likewise, Catherine also loves being able to spend time with Tim every day instead of once a month and has enjoyed transforming their new house in Oklahoma into a home.
