Valerie was enjoying her time on CatholicMatch and the correspondence with men she found to be good and edifying. One man in particular sounded intriguing to the 59-year-old widow from Virginia.
Donald was from the area in Virginia and the 65-year-old was also widowed and asked Valerie if they could get together. She was playing it cautious and was only prepared to commit to a “maybe.”
Valerie continued to explore other options, but no sparks her found—and Donald kept reminding her of that “maybe.” Eventually he broke through and she agreed to a date with him…”and yes to every other date request since,” she fondly added.
They are enjoying their time in courtship, a period now over five months and find special appreciate for the song “God Gave Me You.”
