(Sana) used this poem, by John Paul II, at the beginning of my profile
on Catholic Match (then St. Raphael). I did not know then, that several
months later, I would meet the love of my life, my husband, Justin.
Tewje
the Milkman, in Fiddler on the Roof , says about his daughter and her
husband-to-be, and Adam and Eve, that they all had the "Matchmaker."
So did Justin and I :).
On
June 5th, we celebrated our first anniversary. We decided to share our
success story; share the happiness of our love, marriage, and the
blessing of having our newborn daughter, Makenzie.
Love, hope
and faith helped us get through many difficulties. These three gifts
helped us sustain our relationship over the vast distance between
Poland and America.
On June 5, 2004, we were pronounced husband
and wife at St. Stanislaw Catholic Church in Poland. The ceremony was
celebrated by my high school religion teacher, Father Boguslaw. During
his sermon, he said that now was the time to apply the lessons of
religion in our lives. My sister, Klaudynka, read the "Hymn to love" by
St. Paul. After the wedding, our families and friends enjoyed a
beautiful reception in Lancut Palace.
I need to add that Justin and I would not be together if not for the prayers of many caring people.
