Lorrie Gramer

Lorrie Gramer recently retired after 30 years as the co-director of the Office of Family Life in the Diocese of Rockford, IL where she and her husband Don worked extensively with youth, young adults, engaged and married couples, and families. They helped develop a pastoral strategy to implement the U.S. Bishops' National Pastoral Initiative for Marriage. They are currently working on a new venture called MarriageBuilding USA which will be offering MarriageBuilding Crusades throughout the U.S. to strengthen and care for marriages and raise up an “army” of marriage-building missionaries in a Marriage-Building Church. Among other recent assignments, Lorrie spent the last two years as President of the National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministers. She was also a senior consultant to the 12 dioceses of California for Healthy Relationships CA which put marriage education and relationship skills classes in place throughout California. Lorrie and Don are consultants to the Catholic Match Institute and Ascension Press, and have been married 41 years, have seven children, 13 grandchildren and live in northern Illinois.
