We both joined Catholic Match (then St. Raphael) in the spring of 2002, and we started communicating in December of that year.
We met up in London, where
Anne lived, on the 25th of
January 2003 and straight away we both knew we had a very special
relationship. When I (John) drove home to the
Midlands that first night after meeting Anne, I knew
I had met my wife. Our e-mails previous to meeting showed us that we both
had God firmly at the center of our lives, and knew that our being together
was part of God's plan for us.
I proposed to Anne on St Valentine's Day in
February 2003, and we were married in Galway, Ireland (where my parents
live) on the 26th of July 2003.
The greatest gift after our love came to
us the following year, on the 9th of September, when we had a little boy. We called our son
Joseph as we both have great devotion to St.
Joseph and we both believe this very powerful Saint had
a lot to do with our coming together. St Teresa of
Avila, who is a Doctor of the
Church, once said that all the saints can help us with our necessities but only
one saint can help us with all
our necessities, and strongly recommends you try praying to
St. Joseph if you are struggling with something.
It is now 2005, and so much has happed to us that we have only just got
'round to doing this update. We are both very happy and wish anyone reading
this finds what they deserve. May Christ our Saviour bless you as
